My thoughts:

For this to be viable, it will have to be better organized than random placement within a thread such as this - perhaps a real list and only a list. Someone is going to have to maintain the official list and I'm not volunteering either

Regardless of said list, I can't promise I'll be able to abide by the list if it gets too large or changes too often.

The easiest way to remember who not to hit would be to make a new Guild - "Friends of Farmers" and have all of them join. Again, it would help us but would most definitely adversely affect attacks against them given our less than stellar reputation within the S5 community

Maybe not make it soooo obvious it is a farmers buddy guild....

It is funny though, for a no hit list, alot of people are, well don't hit these unless they are leaking, then it is ok...

So that is a maybe hit list...

Except for Gaining, losing exp and looting, I don't see too many people going after people not on our blacklist for many other reasons.

Maybe, if someone is a friend and gets hit...they pm the person, hey this is Brans friend, or Dek's Wife, please don't hit...

we would be able to stop (accidents do happen) but it would work better than them getting hit 5 or 6 time and then bitching to their friend. Also, we could verify with the Farmer, to se if the name is being taken in vain... if so.. they get blacklisted... (grin)
